ive been searching with no answer. I heard that most of the cars come pre wired for fog lights but I'm unsure if all I need is to buy the lens and housing or I need to buy more things. Help will be much appreciated

Assuming the 2015 model is electrically identical to the 2012-2014 models; you would need the bezels, reflector housings, bulbs, and a new stalk. You could also go with an aftermarket kit for way less that looks the same. It would come with everything above minus the stalk, but to activate your fogs you would need to use a separate switch. The kit would include the switch and the wiring harness to do that. Example of one would be this.

Not sure if that's the best deal, just the first one I found.

I just bought a 2016 Prius C, trim 2, that did not come equipped with fog lights.... so I asked my mechanic, who happens to be a cert. Toyota mech, to check into installing fog lights. I will report back on what I find out.

Yes that will help. I think the change has been converted to a button other than a stalk

Update: I went to Toyota to price out the cost for fog lights. I came to a stop again. They gave me 4 part numbers for the fog ligh lens
    81210-12230 right fog light assy
    81220-12230 left fog light assy
    81210-12230 right fog light assy
    81220-47010 left fog light assy.

I'm still unsure on what part I need to buy since he said he is unable to get the correct part number , it's not stock with the Prius c three.

According to toyotapartsdeal.com, the first two are for the 2012/14 model. Looks like you made a copy/paste error with the 1st and 3rd model numbers since they're identical, but if you follow the pattern with the numbering, the 81210-47010 part number would be correct.

    Side observation.. Per these sites:
    FOG LAMP | Genuine Toyota | 81220-47010
    FOG LAMP | Genuine Toyota | 81220-47010
Part number 81210-47010 shows to be ONLY reflector, bulb, and screw, and mentions to be compatible with the 2015 and 2014 model. Having done the fogs on my 2014, getting the fogs to work on a 2014 is a bit more than that. If installing the fogs is similar to the 2014 model, you may be missing a few things. In the 2014 case, a fog bezel and stalk for OEM (I could be mistaken, I didn't go this route); or fog bezel, fog harness and fog button for aftermarket.

If by chance the 2015 is wired differently and I assumed improperly, and all you really do need is the fog reflectors, might I recommend a massive upgrade @ 1/2 the cost? For Sale - 2010-2015 Prius HID Projector Fog Lights (BOLT ON FINALLY!) $120 | PriusChat A member on this forum sells a projector set with a proper cutoff, glass lens and metal housing. If you're going to piece together your fog system, I believe it's worth a consideration.

My local dealer just printed instructions on installing lights and wires. I heard Rumor that it was just a reprogram situation after installation, but they threw that our the window.

I wish the dealerships here are self contained Toyota. Ours is like a I wanna say like out sourced Toyota. They have to go through specific channels to get things. I asked them what fog lights I need, they just say as a in general fog lights from 13-16 fog lights. I wish I could order Japan parts but they are unable.

Bumping this old thread to see if there were any definitive answers; esp. for M/Y 2015 c2:
    1. Was there a final parts list assembled? If so, would it be possible to share the exact part numbers for (a) lights, (b) housings and (c) stalk?
    2. Is the '15 c2 stalk harness wired from the factory to have the fogs work with the collar switch? If so, does the dash indicator illuminate?
    Thx!

eBay has the lense with part number but the stalk I’m unable to get the part number. I want to say the stalk and lens is all you need due to the c is already wired up for fog lights.

mhh, I have a kit from Spyder, everything included and just bought a pair of Zevo H16 LEDs for it, plan to install the kit in the next couple of weeks, wonder if the 2016 ONE comes pre-wired for fog lights...

It does come pre wired. All you need is the stock and the housing

To double check you will need to take off your front bumper. You will see wire sockets where should hook up to the fog lamps. That’s what my friend and Toyota said. Also when I took my bumper off there was the wiring. I couldn’t find the part # so I ended up going after market fogs since it was 1/4 of the price.

I'm pretty sure the 2/3/4 come pre-wired (4 with actual fogs). I believe that I remember the 1's do not. You shouldn't need to remove the entire front bumper to find out, however. You can remove the inner fender around the wheel. Don't even need to remove it, honestly, just pull the front part back. 3 screws.

It can be prewired to the fogs but the stalk plug might not have the two extra wires that activate the fogs that means that changing the stalk won’t do anything. Mine is a 2014 c3 and that was my case. Luckily I didn’t buy the stalk before checking. I ended up using the wiring provided with the OEM style fogs I bought from Amazon.

I just installed aftermarket OEM fit fog lights I found on amazon for $40, and when I installed I checked the factory wiring to the fog lights, and they where not powered, so I am unsure of getting the factory wiring to work, but for me I ran my own and installed a button near the E-Brake.

The same happened to me. Did like you and used the provided wiring with the kit.

they're powered, but you need the stalk switch to turn it on, IIRC.

I went with an LED aftermarket kit for 109.95 . It was easy to install and I rather have an independent switch i can run with or without the headlights on. There nice and bright.

I went with a $50 set from eBay. Had regular bulbs so I was running nokya bulbs. Had leaking problems in the lens so I ordered mishimoto fog housing. Over all with everything live and learn but those mishimoto fogs are super bright.
