2 hours and 10 minutes if you don't go in balance mode or 2 hours and 30 minutes if you have gone below low mark...I'm still investigating this especially on low speed it will deep in low setting

Off topic, forgive me but can @Lee Jay or those others of you who also really know your stuff on Li Ion advise me?

My Smartphone battery has just deteriorated markedly in holding its charge after I let it run down to zero on holiday a couple of times in close succession.

It's less than a year old.

Is the damage permanent or is there anything I can do to revive it to any degree?

    Most likely permanent.

I have just checked my charger stats for the first time. It has a resolution to 0.1 kw but has not so far delivered more than 6.0 kw to the car for a full charge.

Does the battery capacity increase at first over the first few charges like a mobile phone battery can do?

I certainly notice the EV range reported by the car gradually increasing. After the last charge, with HVAC off it reported 37.1 miles of range. It was 35 after the previous charge. I know there are other reasons for this to change as the car learns how it's driven but might be an indication of increased battery capacity too??

6 kWh from the wall at 230-240V line is about right and i don't think you will see any 'improvement' related to the battery 'break-in'.
Members here reported ~6.3 kWh from the wall at 120V line. EPA numbers are based on 6.33 kWh from wall, which, I believe, is done at 120V as well (33.7 [kWh/Ge] / 133 [MPGe] * 25 [mile] = 6.33 [kWh]). 230-240V charging is more efficient (less losses) so your 6 kWh seems right.
Starting point of charge is very important for coherent results, so, if you intend to record your charges in time, do it for the same starting point (and temp.)

Thanks. By the way, inside the charging flap on my car it says that the car is rated for 100 to 240v 20A. Not 16A. I ended why it says that?

    I have no idea.
As you probably know, EU manual says the current will be 16A max. when using a charging station. Since many charging stations can deliver more than 16A, it means the 16A limit is by the on-board charger.
BTW, did you receive mode 3 charging cable in addition to the mode 2 EVSE as standard with no additional charge?

I did receive two cables. I haven't used either of these as I have a tethered charger at home. One for plugging the car into a standard uk domestic power socket ans I am told that one, which is still wrapped, is an EVSE cable.

Isn't that second one for plugging into charging stations, which in the UK, unlike in North America, do not have a cable, and instead have a special receptacle?

Yes, and it is not a 'special receptacle' it is IEC Type 2 connector receptacle which is standard in Europe (J1772 connector is IEC Type 1, not used any more in new plug-ins in Europe). Description from EU manual is attached.

Thanks for the details. What I meant to say is that the the receptacle is specific to car charging, and is different from one used in homes.

Yes, and the advantage of the Type 2 connector (both sides of the cable) is that it is 3 phase ready.

This is one reason why they should have used a bigger battery. It will degrade over time but if it started with more it would still be acceptable when it started to lose capacity. Since they don't fully charge or discharge the battery it is going to last way more than 500 cycles without losing much capacity, it just sucks it starts with only 25 mile range.

Toyota chose the range carefully based on their assessment of the average daily commute. More than is needed means less boot space and more cost.

Electric cars can be charged at home for most people, and at work for some. So the car only needs enough range for one day. As the car is also a hybrid, longer journeys are no problem, they just use petrol.

I do 80% or more of my driving on electric using that range.

It is fine by me and if the car had been more expensive due to having a greater range I wouldn't have bought it. It would not have been cost effective for me.

If you read the warranty. It says the gradual loss of lithium ion battery capacity isn’t a warranty issue!!

My iPhone has a better lithium ion warranty then my Prius.

At 65k miles on my Prius prime. I notice the screen now says 2 hours and 00 minutes to charge instead of 2 hours and 10 minutes

I don’t charge it very often.
