Finally got my car!

Some of you already know my horrid ordeal with getting this car. Well, after 5 1/2 months and 3 dealers and 3 deposits, I FINALLY have my car.

I woke up to my mom telling me that DCH Brunswick (the same dealer I had cursed before for having my deposit for 5 months with no news of getting my car) called to say that my car is there. :huh: The new manager called me a few weeks ago about a complaint I had put in and said he would try and get me my car. Well, he did! They have definitely redeemed themselves.

Thank God! I've been carless for 3.5 months and it has been HARD. I had gone to another dealer and put a deposit there and promised the car would come in 3 to 6 weeks...about 6 weeks ago. But, it was a good thing, because I would have paid MSRP at that dealer.


Whew, I am so relieved!

Yep, they honored the deal I had with them! ACTUALLY, because the tax went up 1% here in NJ, they adjusted the pretax price so that it would balance out and it actually came out to 18 dollars less than the former deal.

And yes, it was a Black pkg 5 that I originally wanted and waited for, no switched, no gimmicks, no swaps. It only had 5 miles on it when I got it.

Thanks! You actually helped me quite a bit. Your list of NJ dealers helped me find the dealer that "found" (but never delivered) me the car, which lead me to putting in the complaint to consumer affairs about formerly hated dealership, which got the new (and much better!) manager's attention and finally...my car! So, thanks for that!

Yeah, I remembered you when I got to the 5.5 month mark. Both of us waited the same time for our black beauties.... It feels so good to be able to go where I want without worrying about if I have a car to go there with. :lol:


And after such a long wait, I really feel like it DESERVES a name and a REALLY good name at that. Friend suggested "Black Panther" which does sound cool. I'd like something that signifies how long I waited/how much I went through for it (I sound like a mom talking about going into labor ). Hmm...
