Hi All, I replaced brake pads on my 05 Prius Monday. The instructions I have say to pull 2 relays and pump and hold the brake pedal until I hear a buzz. This has worked fine the last time I did the brakes. This time I got the Brake, Parking brake,VSC and ABS lights when I powered up. I did not open the hydralic system, just push in the pistons. I test drove it then touched the brakes. The left front and right rear rotor/drums were hot but the others were not. Long story short, I want to reset the ABS system. I read references to adding a jumper to a connector and pumping the pedal but I couldn't find detailed instructions. Anyone know the procedure for this? Thanks, Jim
You probably just need to clear the codes that were set, but Techstream is likely the only way. Where are you located in CA? If you are near the Bay Area I might be able to help.
Hello, What is Techstream? I've seen lots of references to it. I'm east of Sacramento but I stay/work in San Jose three days per week. That's why our Prius has 215K miles and the 4Runner has 245K trouble free miles. Gotta love those Toyotas. Jim
