apologies if this has already been posted but all I found in the search was for older cars. I have a 2017 Prius and I would like to change the reverse beep from a continual and incredibly distracting beep to a single beep when entering reverse. From looking at the manual it seems like it's possible. I've seen some people recommend buying some knid of tool online and connecting that to the car but I don't feel I can trust something like that. Other solutions mentioned holding down the Trip button and other stuff, but those seemed like they were solutions for older cars... Does anyone have any solution for a 2017 Prius?
Canada is way too vague an area to recommend a PriusChatter who would have a OBDII programmer near you. You are not telling us enough to help. The whole habitable Earth, and Canada. - Ambrose Bierce Quote by Ambrose Bierce: “MAN, n. An animal so lost in rapturous contemp...”
Used Carista on 2017, trim 4, non-touring. Turned off reverse beep and made various other changes. As for reverse beep, now there is only one beep when you shift to reverse. After that beep, no further beeps. Carista device: about $20. Carista app (1 week subscription): about $10. Expensive, yes, but I would have paid >$100 to turn off the beep.
