Hey all. Long story short, I picked up a bluetooth OBDII scanner and plugged it up, and tried following the instructions found on this forum. Only problem is, every time I run 3b ac 40, I just get a return of NO DATA. So here's how it goes: Connect using ELM327 ATI >ELM327 v1.5 at sh 7c0 >OK 21 ac >7c80361ac00 3b ac 40 >NO DATA 21 ac >7c80361ac00 In other words, everything works up until I tell the system to change 00 to 40, at which point it returns NO DATA and doesn't change the variable. Any idea what's going on here? For what it's worth, disabling the seat belt worked, so I know the adapter is able to send commands properly.
Just tried that, same result. Thinking maybe it needs hex format I also tried 003bac40 and that also didn't work. Same response. Very strange...
I'm also having this problem on a 2015 model. Seems to read most PIDs, but "3bac40" returns "NO DATA"
The OBD 2 you're using may not be compatible with Prius. priusapp website has a list of OBD 2's that's compatible. I used Dr. Prius app, and Panlong OBD 2 to turn it off.
