I cant seem to catch a break. Replaced my engine water pump 2 days ago everything was fine for 2 days and now I have new codes. P0A80 replace hybrid battery pack C1657 Hybrid powertrain control module Battery blocks- sitting overnight in about 35 degree weather 1- 16.40v 0.024ohm 2- 16.38v 0.024ohm 3- 16.31v 0.023ohm 4- 16.33v 0.023ohm 5- 16.31v 0.023ohm 6- 16.36v 0.022ohm 7- 16.31v 0.022ohm 8- 16.33v 0.022ohm 9- 16.31v 0.022ohm 10- 16.33v 0.023ohm 11- 16.28v 0.024ohm 12- 16.33v 0.024ohm 13- 16.33v 0.024ohm 14- 16.45v 0.025ohm Iv read .3v difference will set the code, is that correct? Can't find any info on C1657 either. Any experts plz help.
P0A80 should have freeze frame data available. The freeze frame data should provide additional details so you're not guessing at the problem. This fault isn't always caused simply by a module having a low voltage. It can also be triggered by a loss of HV isolation resistance caused by an electrolyte leak. Although a leak will cause a lower resistance, it rarely causes a significant drop in module voltage. You should be able to recognize a leaky module since they usually have a residue at the bottom of the module on the metal base plate, which also causes a dark discoloration. Although it's usually observable at the edges of the modules, sometimes it's hidden under the modules out of immediate sight. In this case, it can usually be seen easily by looking into the plenum under the modules.
