Tomorrow I depart to finalize the purchase of a 2019 Leaf SV. My L2 outlet will be installed by noon Friday. What a merry Christmas it’s going to be!!! Wish me luck!
*after looking up the word impetuous* LOL!!!! I know... mr. spontaneous here!!! God bless you Bisco!!!
My wife drives a ‘16 Leaf SL (30kwh) and loves it. We have the ChargePoint Home and share it between both cars, and works great. Enjoy your new purchase.
You got SL model! Congratulations! Let us know how prePilot assist works. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Pro-Pilot Assist is simply amazing... but kinda freaky all at the same time. My wife freaked out while using it.. asked to to disable almost immediately. I used it driving back from the dealership, and loved it. Simply amazing tech.
Update on Pro-Pilot.. yesterday my wife, son, and his girlfriend went riding around in Elecktra. I decided to show off ProPilot Assist. The reaction on all their faces as my car skillfully navigated a few turns in the road while traveling over 50 MPH with my hands off the wheel was priceless!!! I'm on day 3 day since my last charge with still over 40% battery remaining... WOW
Congrats! I'm in the market for a Leaf as well. Is this a 2018 or 2019? Dealer discount? Any other rebates you qualify for? Thanks
2019, did not discuss dealer discounts.. just bottom line pricing. I got it for about 35K when it was all over. No rebates or discounts down here in Louisiana sadly.
So I followed in your footsteps and bought a 19 Leaf SL also. Other than ProPilot, I love the heated steering wheel.
I think we're all getting stroked until at least 2020, when solid state lithium ion batteries may appear. Now THAT would be worth it for our plugin hybrids! Next, they need to offer 2 seater, 1000 lb lighter carbon fiber coupe hatchbacks, get rid of the stupid touch screen nonsense, bring back analog controls and CD players, add noise canceling technology, and I'd be signing the purchase order!! You don't need more horsepower, just a lot less weight. Then of course, tax the bejeezus out of SUV'S and pickup trucks. Smaller is better!!!! If you want to keep your "personal transportation" you're going to have to make SOME responsible concessions, particularly in improved efficiency via lighter weight and smaller size. We've got to STOP all these lumber wagons, land barges, and pig iron sleds. This insane carnage of our little planet must end. But of course, I have no opinion! Funny you say that, but not many people agree or understand. My other 2 cars are just about the same size together as the prime. They have about 65hp each, but fairly light and nimble. One is Electric one is gas. iPad ?
In the "old days", I had more money, and space, and had the 3 1969 Alfa Romeo models: GTV, Spider, and 5 passenger Berlina, the perfect stable for Southern California commuting chores. Now, I can only afford a single vehicle, so my "Big" compromise became the Prime Advanced. I do see a very exciting automotive future and hope it will include ultra-efficient, and "Smart" PHEVs. I'm too conservative to risk pure EV ownership in my situation. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app. AChoiredTaste.com
