My hand would literally be up all day and night. There is a Prius just about everywhere I drive. There are at least 7 Prius at my work. And even at home, my wife drives a Prius as well.
Same here. Most people around here see the Prius strictly as cheap, reliable transportation and feel no camaraderie involving ownership of the car. Waving at them would merely confuse them as they try to figure out who you are or where you recognize them from.
Every once in a while a non-Prius driver will give me half of a peace sign to say, "You're number one."
I have noticed distain as I don't accelerate from lights as I could and did with a guzzler. Trying to see how well I can do. Will coasting in N damage anything? Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
It may not be good if you put it back into drive while in motion. But aside from that no it won't damage anything but it also will not charge your battery.
