Today was my first full day a new Prius Prime Premium owner :)

I have some questions, but my main concern is that there are now only 65 miles on the car, but my MPG is like 22 MPG average. I see people on here with 100 - 200 MPG...i dont understand.

    Any help is much appreciated!

How many miles before charging so you could use EV mode?
Even if that first 65 miles was in HV mode 22 mph seems a tad low.
Make sure you are looking at the mpg for the entire 65 miles and not just the most recent trip.
Use the “trip” button to switch between the various displays.

Believe it or not, this INCLUDES a full battery charge from the dealership. I just don’t get it, as I was trying hard to have a very light foot and see what MPG I could get.

And yes this number is based on the full odometer trip, all 65 miles.

not to worry, completely useless readout.

what you need to do is reset the tripmeter, fill it with gas and start fresh. after driving at least half a tank, fill it back up, do the calculation and report back here.

keep in mind, 100 mpg is not gas only, but a combination of gas and electricity.
the more you charge up, the higher the number goes. completely artificial, and nothing to do with actual gasoline mpg's.

my current tank is 276 mpg, but that is 70% electric driving

Wouldn't worry too much at this point yet. For the first 65 miles on the odometer, there could be some very hard test drivers, or very long idling before you took the delivery. If you got the car with a full tank of gas, reset the trip meter A or B, and keep driving until you need next refill. Report back with the trip A or B mpg when you do fill the tank. I am sure your mpg is much better by then even on odometer mpg.
