Anybody ever considered having their car 'wrapped' with a moving billboard? They pay decent money, and you might even get to pick something you'd like to plug! (like an environmental cause?) I've seen companies like this; but I haven't looked into it for several years. I see these a lot on Beetles. (Like the Geek Squad cars, for example) But, I think the Prius is another great model to try it on.

I heard several years ago about company that pays poeple to do it. I went to their website and applied. Apperantly, they give you a car (I think it was a Cruiser) already wrapped and you drove it as your primary vehicle for a contracted length of time. At the time, they were based in California but I put my name in all the same just in case they expanded their operations. Anymore though, you'd have to pay me a LOT of money to get me to switch from Priapus.

I actually saw one of these on the freeway yesterday. It got my attention...was very colorful...but even today, just one day later, I couldn't tell you what product it was for. I think I was just caught off guard, though I probably shouldn't have been. Out here in California, pretty much anything goes. I think that I mostly thought that it was a waste of a perfectly beautiful prius; couldn't even tell what the original color was. I have also seen a prius taxi on the road. Basically, I would not like to advertise unless I was highly compensated and it was for something about which I felt strongly. It is similar to the way I feel about wearing a t-shirt "advertising" anything. I am one of those who does not like putting decals ON the car; but, I did relent when it came to HOV stickers-not much of a viable alternative there. I did have it put on 3-M film first.
Never mind the car covered in ads...the first thing I did when I got the Pri home was to take off the license plate frames advertising the dealership.

I signed up for one of those free car deals where a company would give you a car that had advertising on it and all you had to do was I think pay insurance and gas. I never got one but i've seen those smug people drive around in their FREE Mt. Dew PT cruiser, Aquafina PT cruiser, some company I never heard of New Bug, ect... I never got a free car! :angry: I also tried to get my POS dodge ( The car before I got my beautiful Prius ) wrapped with an advertisement but I guess my car looked too crappy. I would never put an advertisement on my new Prius. Well for one exception. I will put on the priuschat.com sticker when I get it. I haven't got it yet. But i'm still in no big hurry for it.

No ads on my beautiful black baby. They wouldn't be able to pay me enough. I didn't even want to put my parking sticker for work on the window.
What I would like to know is how those people get away with it on their windows. I cant even see inside some of them. Thats got to be more illegal than an illegal dark tint. I would also like one of those printers. It would be easier than a custom paint job plus you could easily change it when you want.
apparently the windows are allowed because it's perforated. hard to see through from outside at a distance i agree, but not so bad from inside where you're closer to it.
