An update, I spoke to the BAR and was advised to take the car to my local Toyota dealership for diagnosis. They had access to all my records from Dublin Toyota and confirmed Dublin Toyota never noted the serpentine belt replacement in their documentation, but it was replaced when they replaced the pulley bearing. They never informed me, asked for permission or documented it. The guy today said they believe the pulley bearing should have been replaced along with the water pump, that the new water pump was too much for the old pulley bearing and caused it to fail, that might have been the screeching sound. He said it is best practice to replace both at once. Dublin Toyota also told me the serpentine belt had been replaced several years ago - not true! The one I had had been replaced one year prior. So tomorrow I give my report to the BAR and Dublin Toyota is going to pay! Again thanks for all the great information and support. BTW they do think the transmission was just a coincidence however, while Dublin Toyota told me OMG it's gone you need to buy a new car now! The dealership today said well it will go eventually just keep driving until it does.
