I am having a problem with my speaker volume on a 2008 prius. With the volume turned to max and the speaker balance centered between all speakers only the front speakers produce sound and there is a tinney sound that accompanies the music and by that I mean that the music sounds like its coming out of a Tin can. The loudness of the speakers is also low. Has anybody else had this problem and a remedy.
the 6 speaker sound system has 2 bass speakers 6-1/2" 2 mid speakers 6-1/2" and two tweeters 2" tweeters and bass are in front door the mids are in the back i am currently having this problem. only the two small tweeter speakers at the top of the door are functioning. My conclusion was that the amplifier circuit has gone out in my 2007 Prius and i need to replace the head unit. i have one coming from fleabay and should be here Friday 3/15 ill try to remember to let you guys know if it fixes the problem.
