That's all I'm putting in the car each time I charge now. Anyone remember what the amount was when we bought these things?
Once it gets above 10 kWh, my meter reads in round kWh numbers, so I only see it when I reset my meter after getting gas. I think it's usually around 2.4 or something like that when charging from a depleted EV range. And, of course, that will depend on how deeply you've dipped into the HV portion.
I tested my 2014 and the most I could put on was 2.5 Kwh on the slow charger, looks about right if you get about 4miles per kwh, my leaf gets about 4.5 m/kwh per comparasion.

I live on a hill and recently pretty much always use HV mode on the way home. So the display estimate is around 15 miles even in the winter. Of course that isn't accurate. On level ground at a modest speed I would probably only get around 10 - 12 miles in EV.
agreed. i do the same driving all the time, so it's pretty accurate. i wish i had a gauge. if i'm down about 15% from new, that would be around 3.74kwh currently?
Yes, sounds about the same as mine. While the number of miles you can get on a full charge is nice I find the great gas mileage on longer trips to be very satisfying. Our trips generally involve some back roads and hills. With the ability to use the downhill to recharge the battery we generally get almost 60 mpg on a 2 or 3 day trip.
Thanks for the stats. What are you at for total miles? EV miles? Done any mountain driving where you fill the pack in 5-10 minutes?
Total EV miles 18,879 shown on the display. I don't keep track of the display kWh because I don't really know what it means. The power line usage is 3980 kWh. That's an overall 4.7 miles per kWh if all miles came from power line charging. Since we expect to get 12 EV miles for 3 kWh of charge (4 mi/kWh) the breaking charging provides about 0.7/4 = 18% of the EV miles. Yes, I live near Sacramento so some trips are over the mountains. Most of our trips are to the coast with less quick full charging.
