    Hello!
I just bought a 2010 prius and it drives like a dream. Except for the steering where it makes a sound. Here’s the video.

Hopefully you guys can help me diagnose what needs to be replaced and it also makes the same sounds when i drive on bumpy roads
    Thanks!

You're jerking it back and forth so fast you can't tell if the noise is because you are jerking back and forth quickly, or something else.
Could be tie rod ends, usually that's what goes first, but a complete inspection is needed to find the bad part/parts.

Thanks for the reply. I will try the tie rods first and see

Edit: inner or outer tie rods?

Yes..... The outers wear out quicker. You can grab the tie rod and pull it and push it. It should not move.
I've never replaced they on a Prius, but did the inners on my town and country. They are pretty easy.

The same happens in my 2010.
Replacing the intermediate shaft is not the solution. It is necessary to replace the steering column.
I have learned to live with this noise.

Finally I found the reason for this noise:
The cause is a washer that loosens. Many users put an additional spring, but it has not been necessary in my case. Just enlarge the wall and reinstall it.

A washer doesn't loosen. Do you mean a nut, or bolt? It came loose and the washer was rattling around?
