One other thing to watch out for is the tire fees (for recycling in advance apparently legit here).... They tried to charge me for the spare tire (that doesn't exist with the 2017 prime!) It was only 5$ but it's the principle of the matter as well as 5$ times how many sales adds up over time... and they sell lots of Primes at this dealership... not that they will get rich off this underhanded practice, but they were charging for something that I did not have so I should not have to pay the fee...

Yup I did mention to corporate ....corporate told me to talk to local customer relations at that particular dealership and that went no where as she backed the dealership claim up even more so...and never returned my calls or emails. So blackballed. Doesn’t matter learned an important lesson from this sale. Gave up the ghost in trying to get 200 plus dollars back which includes interest for 5 years mind you. Gave up the ghost little pebble me vs the Corp. I lose and won’t waste any more time. Thanks all who have responded with great tips and ideas. Love my Toyota Prius albeit the sucky experience.

Your fight is with the dealership, not Toyota. Any consumer watchdog in your area? Contact them?
