I fully expected the EV range to decrease in colder temps, but I think something may be wrong. It used to take over 5 hours to fully charge; it now takes about 4 hours. The battery icon shows full, but the range is about 20% lower than it's peak in the summer months (31 miles on the guess-o-meter then vs 26 now), with real EV range being somewhere around 20 miles. The temperature is not terribly cold for upstate NY - in the mid to high 30's. Has anyone else experienced this?
Was your EV range down to zero before you began charging? The range down to 25 miles on display and 20 miles actual do not seem so bad, but I don't know about the charge time. I have never paid much attention on charge time to completion.
if the battery is accepting less electrons, maybe the time decreases proportionately. are you preconditioning?
Is 4 hours to full charge, actual time it takes to fully charge the traction battery, or is it the display you see on MID when you plug-in. TBH, I have never actually checked actual time on mine. Mine is always get charged overnight while I am in bed. The question is, is it really taking shorter time to fully charge the battery or it's just displaying shorter time than actual?
It's really taking less time whether I charge immediately on plug in or timed for my departure. I know this because the Entune app sends an alert to my phone.
Oh, you have an Advanced trim. If it is really taking shorter time to fully charge, then next question is do you know how much kwh get used at wall for full charge? If you are using L1 EVSE that came with the car, easiest way to check is to use kill-a-watt meter to take a measurement for zero EV to full charge. It normally takes 6.3-6.7 kwh to fully charge for mine. If it is really taking less charge, then this number should be something like 5.2 kwh.

cold weather reduces the batteries charging capacity. preconditioning is heating or cooling the battery before and during charging to aid in capacity during temperature extremes. you can find it in the owners manual, or many threads here.
Preconditioning use traction battery, so it could reduced the range, but it will not explain the reduced time required for a full charge. It should increase the time instead.
