The aux battery can on charge in ready mode be as high as 14.2 volts. This is because it is an AGM "absorbed glass mat" battery, and these have a slightly higher voltage than normal flooded lead acid batteries.

So that's probably good thing. On someone's advice, I checked a white connector above the LH side taillight (can anyone explain how is this connector relates to the HV battery blower??). I found some sign of corrosion, but nothing what I would associate with "poor connection". However it seems helped. After cleaning that connector the fan turned on as it should, changed the speed as the temp increased. I only tested twice as takes a bit of time to cool the bastard below 35C. I'll try it a few times and report if the improvement is permanent.

This chat is very useful for me and it will be great if we had the same in France. I want to share an issue with my 2005 Prius which occured in October 2020. The cooling fan didn't run. I checked the relay : OK. I check the fan : OK. The connector which is above the fan was corroded and one wire was already connected outside the regular connector. The corrosion seemed limited but I cleaned to get a better connection. I drove again the Prius and the fan started when the battery was warm. The problem was solved.
Hope it will help Prius owner. corroded connector.jpg
