The issue isn't the cost, it's the power draw.

I double checked the fuse and it's definitely 15 amps.

I was able to contact EP Auto and told them the car's specs (15a fuse, but 120w max at the adapter) and they said it would be no problem.

Fair enough, but those little cheapie ones usually draw less than 15A and are designed to be used in most cars' power outlets (aka cigarette lighter plug). I have not blown a fuse with one of those or even with a larger one. I am not sure if this thread is just beating a horse that has been dead for a while.

That's why I go with a rechargeable booster/compressor. No drain, no cord length issues.

The funny thing about this post, and all other posts, amazon ads are showing products mentioned in the original post; 12v portable tire inflators haha. It should help narrow the selection, if not, hand feed is the way.

Literally laughed out loud at the reply.

You have to post it as the first message in a thread to see advertisement though, hopefully no mod deletes it.

Well I think at this point, every possible option for the OP has been mentioned.

Personally, I have owned, for over a decade, a rechargeable battery jumper/air compressor. It's designed to be left plugged in, to a wall outlet. I just leave it plugged in, in a distant hidden corner and it's always ready.

    The Pros:
    Good for providing Jump Starts.
Good for adding air to your tires.
Since you are NOT connecting it to your vehicles electrical system, no worries about blowing fuses or doing damage to your electrical system.
Once unplugged, is totally portable, so no cord to wrap around the vehicle as you go from tire to tire. This is the convenience aspect I like the best.
Has a pretty accurate gauge. I still inflate beyond where I want to be, and check and bleed with an old trusty gauge I also have had for many years. But I have found the built in gauge to actually be very accurate.

    The Cons:
It's basically a battery itself. So it's not particularly light. Need some arm strength to tote it around.
Related to above: It's heavy and somewhat large, even though I could charge it up, monitor the charge and keep it in the vehicle, I don't feel comfortable doing that. I would worry I would forget and it would lose charge, and it would have to be strapped down, it wouldn't be nice in an accident.
Therefore, with those parameters it's a USELESS choice as something you would have IN your vehicle for on the road immediate emergencies. Unless of course, you want to strap it down, store it safely, and be diligent enough to check the charge level and make sure it's never dead.

    The operational reality:
In a decade, it's worked great for what I have wanted and needed. Primarily as a tire inflation device, but secondarily as a battery jump provider.
With my Prius, I never felt I wanted to GIVE jump starts...not taking the risk. This allowed me to NOT be a jerk and still help people that asked for a jump start.
Basically the same with my Honda Fit, that has a 12 volt battery more akin to a Motorcycle sized battery.
Now if at work and a co-worker asks if I can give them a jump start, I can say...not with my vehicle BUT....then I go home and get the jump start/inflation device.

This is what I've been using to inflate my tires for over a year and a half now. I bought this on Amazon. It's rated 10A. It's really portable and you just plug into the cigarette lighter. I used this weekly and haven't had any issue with it.
