I'm trying to remove the instrument cluster / odometer. Does any one know the directions to remove the dashboard?
at one time there was (& likely still is) a YouTube video that was very helpful & well laid-out, if you can't find it on the Forum. .
It's the one where the guy did the removal 1 handed - camera in the other, shaking like a 7 on the Richter scale. .
I'm thinking this is what's referred to in the Repair Manual as the "Combination Meter"? I've cobble together that section, and I think all the reference pages. Have a look, lemmee know.
@franken1313 is this for second gen, that's what I've posted. Just noticing now this is 3rd gen forum.
Ok, think I've got the combo meter info (first) and additional removal/install info (second), in the attached.
Great job with the video. Now that it's apart, you can also fix any dash rattles you might be experiencing. Here are some shots of mine. BTW, we were able to drive the car with the dash off to find these rattles.
You call that a dash removal? This is how we do it in our neck of the woods; It's the goin' back together that's a bit of a head scratcher. .
under your avatar, you show a 2005, which threw my old brain off, even though you clearly stated 2010, in a gen3 forum
