My 2004 prius have the screen faded and I found at the junk yard a monitor from a 2007, but this one have navigation on it. I swapped but it doesn't work at all. It is because my screen doesn't have navigation or because the one I bought is broken.

The donor MFD (MultiFunction Display) could be broken. BUT, it is more likely b/c your 2004 came with the low-Res MFD and you are trying to upgrade to a Hi-Res MFD.

It might be possible to "upgrade" the MFD with some manipulation of the pins (wire harness or MFD).

Best bet is to find a donor MFD from a car that does not have back-up camera. IIRC (If I Recall Correctly), all Prius with a back-up camera come w/ a Hi-Res MFD.

Try contacting Steve at Autobeyours. He has parts and does repairs too.

Thanks so much for the recall, I guess I'm gonna return the part.
