I drive a first year 2012 Toyota Prius C two. I love the car. It has about 90,000 mi. I know it can go double that. However with the % rate and rebates I am thinking of trading it in before it hits 100,000 mi. Nothing is wrong with the car just want to trade it in while I can still get something for it. Other then a mid cycle refresh, some cosmetic, head lights, safety features, has anything really changed? Thanks.
It's another Prius c you're considering? Would a new gen of that model be coming soon? That could be a plus and a minus, btw.
Bought my current car from Orland Toyota/my local dealer a 2012 Toyota Prius C. My parents and I have bought a few other new vehicles from them. Want to buy my next car but they don't have any Yaris or Prius C in stock. Why?
One day I went there and the saleswoman didn't know anything. The second day a different saleswomen say they only had one Yaris sedan and no Prius C. Yet I found some on their website.
While the car mostly looks the same through all its mild refreshes, I think the sum total of all the changes almost make it worth it. Since my 2012 vintage they’ve increased small gap frontal crash safety scores, added switch for vsc/esc to be disabled (good for rocking out of snow), added battery jump points under hood, improved hvac console, upgraded oem radio, toned down some of the quirky styling on dash, improved tail lights/headlights, improved dash video display, added Toyota safety sense, improved steering wheel button controls. When new; you get the benefit of a new 12v and traction battery. My only real gripe, still no dome light! (Oh and a tiny bit of sound insulation would be nice). Most reliable car I’ve ever owned, and so little maintenance needed!
