Hello all. I am trying to install an EBH on my prius and I was unable to complete installation. The core is installed, but the electrical connection I could not make. The access needed to perform this job is tiny and my arm is too big basically. I got up in there but didn't have the strength to make the connection 100% blind. Is there an alternate way? I seem to remember you can remove the wipers and cowling. Would that work to free up access from the top? Does anyone have instructions for that job? What about removing the inverter coolant reservoir. Never done that before, don't know if it's necessary or easy/possible. I've never actually had to do it. When I did PCV I just used a wrench and same with the spark plugs I think.
Also I almost forgot to add. I seem to have encountered a possible problem with my frame or engine mounts. I will hope to get a photo of the actual area next time I attempt this job. Here is my best explanation with drawing. There is a triangular shaped frame piece with three bolt holes. 2 of the 3 are bolted down, but the third hole insead has just a loose nut on the top and no bolt going through it. That being said it's not going anywhere, just not connected. To orientate yourself, the part is parallel to the road and the part with the missing bolt faces to the rear.
Hmm... Hard to say without seeing it... Perhaps look at exploded view parts diagram to figure it out?
Tried it, but then the entire assembly seemed too long to give me enough clearance to get the job done. She's a hard f***.

Yeah this is the guide I was working off. Just reaching it required considerable abrasion on my arm and then I finally tired out and lost stamina. Will try again tomorrow and then not sure.
Removing the wipers and top cowling is not that hard. Pull wipers.. and some plastic trim, and I think there are 8-10 10mm bolts. And an electrical connection for the wipers. It's not hard.. maybe 14 min job. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Does it help though? Not saying it doesn't, just to weigh the pros/cons. He was able to install the core from below.
