Hey everyone! I can't seem to find what this part is called, it's ripped from the back and i need to replace it. I know cables run through the back, so how would i go and replace it? Thanks in advanced! It's a Prius 2006.
Need some pictures.. that link does not work.. so we have no idea what the part looks like. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
The Toyota spares list calls it: 82819-47050 Grommet Wiring You can find it by the part number here: TOYOTA PRIUSNHW20L-AHEEBA - ELECTRICAL - REAR WASHER | Japan Parts EU
When the people installed a rear license plate, they decided it was easier to cut through the back and not tell me about it.... Is it plug and play or is it harder to disconnect those cables?
Grommet is a good name for it, I'd slice it and fit it over the wires then use silicone caulking to seal it back up, I'd also wrap the wires with electrical tape, the washer line isn't in it, just the electric wires for the brake lights, turn signals and license plate on the rear hatch. You many find when looking connections that come apart.
What does that wiring harness have to do with the licence plate? Thats going to be a very difficult repair depending on how close they cut the wires to the roof of the car.
