My old plug-in Prius did this - with fob in pocket, I could unlock back door by pressing rubber latch. My 2018 Prime Plus doesn't do that. I have to either unlock by touching driver's door handle, or press unlock on the fob twice. Is there a setting, or they just don't do that anymore?
Mine operates as you want it to. No need to unlock anything prior as long as I have the FOB. But I have the Advanced trim.
Plus trim only has driver door fob proximity unlock. Not sure if you could pay the dealer to upgrade assuming that it is just a software feature.
Yap, Premium and Advanced trims have 3 door SKS, but Plus is only drivers door SKS. I think I saw some Gen3? hack thread on this topic, but not sure if anyone succeed. Even if it is possible, I would think it is going to be fairly expensive and/or complicated upgrade.
There is another thread with the plus upgrade question, but no answer. I think it is next to impossible
I was wondering if the metal bracket above the hatch release that has been reported as rusting might be an antenna component? Is the "Plus" trim bracket plastic?
Instead of just babbling and never giving information, why don't you just not comment? Here is a thread that might help, shouldn't be much different for a 4th gen. How to add SKS to the hatch and passenger door on a 1 door SKS Gen III Prius | PriusChat
