Cobb EMC in suburban Atlanta now offering free EV charging from 12a to 6a with Niteflex rate plan: NiteFlex | Cobb EMC They're encouraging you to shift usage to overnight hours by offering 400 free kwh per billing cycle in order to lessen demand for peak usage power plants to come online. A full charge on the Prime at 6.5 kwh x 30 days would be 195 kwh; I'll see what happens running dishes and laundry in that time as well.
Hope it works for you. For me I found variable rate pricing doesn’t work for me. Basically the daytime/peak variable rate is so high my a/c usage wipes out any night time savings. Sure, I could sit and swelter but my wife would make things difficult for me. Not worth it.
Thanks. On peak rate is $0.135/kwh vs off peak $0.07181/kwh Here's our power use graph from August; I'd like to think I can trim those spikes
