Recently bought an 07 with 161K miles, still getting to know it, fortunately have the manual. I'm wondering if I have a problem with the "Illuminated Entry System", when I set the door/dome light switch to "Door" it stays on all the time, like it would be in the "On" position, no matter if I'm in the car or outside. So when I leave the car, the light stays on, it doesn't fade out within 15 seconds as the manual says. So I have to turn it to the "Off" position, which does me no good, as then I'm greeted with no lights at all when entering the car in darkness, or leaving. Obviously, in the OFF position, no lights come on when I unlock the doors. On another topic, I'm missing several screws in the engine compartment, the large right Phillips screw that holds the headlight assembly in place is gone, and all the black screws in the large horizontal black cover toward the front are either gone or stripped. Are these dealer-only items or can I get them reasonably elsewhere? Thank you.
Interior plunger door switch looks undamaged, when I press it, the lower panel light of the door goes on and off, but the dome light does nothing, that is, it's not affected when you push the plunger switch. Shouldn't the dome light go on and off when pushing that door switch (with the door open)?
