Got rear ended today. Probably just a bumper replacement, as far as I can tell, but the SRS WARNING LIGHT is on (RED LIGHT WITH AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT) and the on the passenger side it says "airbag off" just like desribed in page 130 of the 2006 manual. No airbags were deployed, anyone know why this would happen? I have the Coastal EV mod installed. I will be bringing this to to dealership to be looked at for the bumper, but why is the airbag whacked out? I will ask them to look at this as well due to the accident. Any insight? I know of no airbag sensors at the rear of the car but maybe there was more jarring and damage then you might realize. I'm sorry this happened. Please have them check out the entire car and mention the airbag light.
Me, three! Wonder is this is related to the recent safety notice from Toyota? They don’t have a fix yet.
