Quality Control after Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster

    Has anyone noticed a lack of quality for 2012 after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster? Japan was severely handicapped with reduced electricity for the whole country at the time.

    Both of our 11's were delayed until January of 12 because of the problems -- both very reliable. EGR/Cooler .. and one fuel pump

    There's a piece of green glowing ooze that lights up in the engine when hood is open at night.

    those repairs are typical on early gen 3's and generally start to show up around 100k.
    they have nothing to do with qc, and everything to do with poor design.

    we have seen zero quality issues on our '12, and i don recall reading about any.

    For 2012 I worry more about cars that got stuck in Hurricane Sandy flood waters. To my knowledge, there has never been any discussion here about quality issues on Japan side of the pond due to the Japan disaster.

    my original problem was with the noise. it just seemed like the 2012 I purchased was much louder and the doors were flimsier than the 2010.
