Hello everyone, My wife's 2010 prius FOB key got wet then stopped working. The FOB will start the car if its placed next to the power button but it doesn't do anything else. Unfortunately, my wife already lost one FOB and this is the only one we have left. I have techstream and I use it regularly to diagnose issues but I have never programmed anything in the two prius cars we own. The FOB battery has been replaced, the AUX battery is full and less than 6 months old. With that in mind: - Can this FOB be saved to perform other functions beside the hug_start? - Can I program additional Key(s); if so, please provide some details on the key to purchase. too many choices out there? I have read several useful threads but very few apply to my situation. Your reply is appreciated. Thanks.
I guess this is a boring topic that is extensively covered, unfortunately, that coverage has brought too much confusion as there are too many solutions. I won't mind testing some solutions but I don't want to mess up the only key I have left. I hope someone has a solution for my specific case.
in my mind, if it only works next to the power button, it is still a battery issue. have you actually checkr=ed the voltages of the two batteries?
