There are no suitable wires to use inside the door interior panel, plus there's also no constant 12V power. You wouldn't want your puddle lights to only turn on when you either adjust your mirror or use your window switches... ;)

I'm referring to puddle lights on the lower part of my 2010 interior door panel. I think they operate with the other interior lighting. Just less wires to fish through to the dash if you can use them for you side mirror puddle light.

Sorry, forgot about that light there inside the door. I think the reasoning why you wouldn't tap it there, is it would only operate when the door is ajar. Thus defeating the purpose of having it illuminated before you step into your vehicle.

Wasn't sure if they worked with the overheads, or just when the door was open. Kid has the car, do I can't check. Also, can't you steal the constant power at the door lock?

You can also connect to the interior light wires along side the A-pillar on the driver's side. I connected to the "ceiling light" because I was lazy and wires are cheap!

So, just quick a update to this thread. There is a version 2 of the next gen sequential lights. The original sequentials in white are similar in color to the G's OEM HIDs (like a 4500K). The newer versions of the sequentials will have more of bluish tint, similar to what is found in more modern cars (like a 6000K). Found this out the hard way as I was like the more subdued color of the more yellowish HIDs (anyone for a swap?), but both versions are bright AF, and very nice. Haven't had the opportunity to source the difference in color yet.

I think the wiring was also a little different, but @sfv41901 would be the source for that info.

I did contact them a woman name Cathy emailed back said that for the Folding mirrors kit and the 3 in 1 led lights and painted my color she quoted me $700.00 is that high?
another company on ebay Laxparts quoted me some also but said with motorized mirrors there was not enough room for the 3 in 1 leds just turn only. any one else have any leads? also looking to do the auto headlight mod looking for the turn signal arm that has it on it?

I’ve installed the LAXparts folding mirrors before. They are not 100% PNP with the Prius. The electrical connector doesn’t match the Prius & uses aftermarket motors & glass. Do they work....yes. Would I recommend them...no.

I can confirm that u can use a 3in1 signal in them.

If ur interested in OSM folding mirrors, hit me up as I can source them out for u.

Can you use the footwell lights to activate the puddle lights instead of using the map dome light?

That should work. Actually any light that comes on when approaching the vehicle with the key fob should work fine for activating the puddle lights.
