Hello, I have been on for awhile.. I started with 08 Silver Touring traded it after 8 years for 15 Red Persona.. which I just traded in for 18 Gun Metal Gray mod 3 with Sunroof package. Past mods were Horn upgrade, USB jacks, Fog light install.. and some minor accessories. Looking forward to Modding this one as well... let the fun begin.
Guys, Prii last longer than that (if maintained). My 2004 went 12 years and 288k miles. It was still running strong, but due for a lot of maintenance, so I traded it in (more like gave it away) for a new 2016 model 3 That I expect to last many more years. JeffD
What mods do you have in mind? I love my suspension upgrades - but my favorite mod of all are the power folding mirrors with the dynamic lighting.
My 2004 was running (and charging) very well when I sold it at 340K. The only thing I had to do to it was replace two wheel bearings and the front brakes that were getting thin at 260K. Even the CV boots had never failed. I have never had a more troublefree car in my entire life.
That's it in the avatar along with the Insight it replaced. I now have a low mileage 2010 so nothing impressive to report. Just boringly dependable and economical. I am considering changing to a CT-200h, however. The comfort upgrades interest me, even though there will be a hit on fuel economy. I took a far worse hit (75 to 50 MPG) when I sold the Insight and moved to Prius. It was worth it.
