Map updates

    Are map updates tied to entune versions, or can the maps be updated separately post the final update in 2015 (v5)?

    When it comes time to update the map you may find it cheaper to just buy a stand-alone GPS (Magellan, Garmin, TomTom, etc) with lifetime map updates. The updated map DVDs from Toyota aren't cheap (several hundred dollars the last time I looked!)

    Why can't one just download a zip file, extract its contents onto a flash drive, and buy a key directly from Toyota?

    That's the way Toyota does it in Europe. Why can't they do the same in North America?
