I am still trying to figure it out how to remove that EGR cooler. Cannot access that bottom rear nut. Mane the third time is the charm.

The bottom nut can be a bit fiddly;).

But if you have grit and determination, it can be done(y).

    I got this one
    8" Android 7.1for Toyota prius left 2din car dvd,gps navigation,wifi,radio,bluetooth,Steering wheel,Free 8g Map,mic,touch screen-in Car Multimedia Player from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

Great for the price. My only complaint is that the button's green lights are way different than car's green.

I did my EGR valve/cooler clean today, and replaced the transmission fluid.

After all the horror stories of the dreaded nut, I made a deal with my local mechanic to take it off for me, I cleaned it myself overnight, and he installed it back on the next day, and did the transmission flush (where I provided the Toyota fluid).

Cost came out to $275 + tax. And the mechanic complaining to me how hard the nut was to get off :-P. Which is the same price the dealership quoted me to just change the fluid.

I don't think some people are using the correct tool to remove the nuts and bolts.
I don't remember which tool I used but none were really difficult. A little tricky, but not hard.
Maybe I got lucky? I did put anti-sieze on everything before reassembly so it would be easier next time.
Is everyone talking about the one at the bottom of the cooler?

The tool look like the picture I am attaching. I tried looking for it in Amazon in metric sizes but I don't know what they are called.

I used a swivel socket, and a wobbly extention, and the e-torx.
I rarely use the rachet wrench.
