If I posted this or something similar before I am sorry, I can't find it anymore. I own/drive a 2012 Prius C with about 90,000 miles. I currently live near Chicago, IL. I might be relocating to Ketchikan, AK. Should the car make the trip? Any advice?
You have posted this before. The car is still relatively young, so answers shouldn't have changed much. From the fact that you are asking yet again, I'll guess that you didn't go either previous time, otherwise you'd already know well enough from personal experience. Thank you. I didn't go before because the job offer fell through. I am currently working on the job, I interviewed for.
Any (old/new) car can make the trip, BUT no matter what, you should be checking tire threads/tire pressure, fluids (oil, coolent, transmission, etc) hopefully periodically and most importantly before any long trip. You don't need to be a mechanic or do your own maintenance to check tires or fluid levels to know the probability that your car might leave you stranded or blow a tire ALSO, don't think that if you keep up to date maintenance your car won't breakdown, do a quick check of all important fluids and tires before taking off on a long trip
