Forgive me for some of the questions i'm going to be asking, i'm still very new to the more technical side to cars and i'm trying to clear as many things up as possible before I make any moves. But anyways, I'm currently looking at replacing the headlight assembly on my base model 2010 Prius with potentially these headlights. I've been looking through other threads to get an idea of what to expect, but I'd still like to double check/clear some things up before I spend hundreds of dollars and find out I did something wrong. 1. These will 100% work right? From what I've seen, that answer would be yes. But again, double checking. 2. Do I need anything else besides the assembly? I recall seeing something about a conversion cable. I'm not interested in making my own, I don't have experience in electrical wiring and i'm not comfortable practicing something like that on my car. 3. It seems i'd need an extra bulb considering there's 3 places for a bulb in the above picture I referenced. Or am I reading it wrong? If so, what bulb would i also need to add in there? 4. Are these are LED headlights as opposed to the halogens I currently have on my Prius? As in, do these emit light better with LED bulbs in them as opposed to halogens with LEDs in them? 5. Should I replace my current LED kit with a more OEM type style LED bulb if it would increase the look/function? I currently have these bulbs installed and i'm curious if I should get something else when switching out the assembly for a better performance. 6. One of my parking lights is out, so i'm looking anyways for replacements. But do they need to be the "yellow" color? I've seen someone on here with white ones, is that legal? Thanks!
Getting into these headlights will cost you a pretty penny. For ones that arent broken, Ive seen them at about 400 for a good ONE on Ebay.. Yeah, thats one headlight assembly. You have to fork in another 400 to get the other one along with finding a matching ballast. I've looked into this as well. Gets pretty pricey however if you really want to source it, reach out to the gurus and HybridPit. As far as function, these lights in my opinion are better than our halogen ones. I am still trying to figure out how I want to get them lol Great option tho.
Not too concerned with the price since it's going to cost a decent amount for OEM ones anyways. Mostly just concerned with getting it to work and having all the pieces before I take everything apart just to find out i'm missing something and wasted a bunch of time.

Alright sweet! Do I need an extra cable for conversion as I've seen referenced in other threads? Or is it simply remove the old, put in the new, and it works? And what about the extra bulb they seem to have? Do I need to buy an additional bulb to occupy the space?
Pretty sure u need a convertions cable, @sfv41901 (hybrid pit) knows alot about this. The headlights bolt right in, so assembly isnt any problem, but some sort of extension is needed to make em work in the connector.
I had a 2010 V, and the headlights were connected to an automatic leveling motor driven by some sensors attached to the chassis. There was also a warning icon if the leveling mechanism malfunctioned. I am looking to get LEDs for my 2013 3, but I will just get a good set of LED bulbs and swap out the halogens. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
