This has happened twice now. In the brief interval between boot up and the ICE start, I've seen the Check Engine light. It's gone before I can get the Torque App running and connected to the ECU. No codes are stored. Thoughts?
There should be stored codes, I suspect it's your catalytic converter going bad or 3 way coolant valve going bad. If your car doesn't burn much oil, then it most likely would be the 3 way coolant valve
Yes, I would like it very much if there were stored codes, but Torque reports none, and gives me a drive cycle complete.
I had a similar symptom on my 2008, the check engine light would go on and then turn itself off. It was my 3 way coolant valve, replaced under warranty (CA 15/150k) Check if your coolant is full, open the radiator cap and take a peak.
When I run techstream, there always shows a "history" when a code was present. If the fault still exists, it goes to "current"
