vanity plates

Looking at all these vanity plates...

makes me want my tideland green Prius NOW!!! But i gotta wait 'til September delivery. Hmmm...I'm gonn call the dealer up and see what # I am now. it's been a few months. I noticed there aren't that many people with tideland green. I see every other color zipping by me on HOV though - and there are a LOT of them!

 

Ordered my CA plate

My avatar shows my license plate decision for my Silver #9. It's a Yosemite license plate, hence also the pun on "camper". My extended family and I did a whole bunch of thinking on this (been waiting a long time), so here are lots of other ideas:

NOTE - anywhere there is an "A" you can replace it (in CA) with a star and it still reads like an A on the plate, if you are trying to spell something but your first choice is taken.

I was thinking about Bejouled and Priyas, but ended up going with VROOOHM.

 

With both excellent mileage and real gain for the environment, BNG4DBK (bang for the buck) seems to work well for a license plate from my perspective.

Not sure where I heard of this one, but I liked it: HPY AMPR

Ever since we got on the waiting list, my wife said she would get "TRE HUGR" for a personalized plate. I thought she was kidding, but last Friday she registered our White #9 and she really did order it. I'll post a pic for proof when we get the plates.

 

I wanted to get EZBNGRN but could not fit that on the Maine Loon plate that supports wildlife conservation.
So, I opted for a plate frame that reads...

"To Go Before" (on top line)
and
IT IS EASY BEING GREEN (on bottom line)

Makes me smile, costs less, and is transferable!!

 

Saw a neat one on Friday- on a Honda Insight in California- GASDIET.
Should be available in other states.

(We were at the Friday Fahrenheit 9/11 sold out show at the Lido- they must have been too).

Happy in OC.

 

I wanted to get the NH Moose plate with PRIUS as I was using as my avatar; however it isn't available.

My new vanity plate arrived today. My duaghter and wife picked out a Veteran plate with "NOPLG" which is now my new avatar.

 

Well, I don't have vanity plates just yet, but I did post two new pictures to my personal photo album on this site that you all might want to take a look at. Check out the new license plate frames I had custom made.

Ah, got one from CA. http://www.state.ca.us

 

I would say just go to the Department of Motor Vehicles and then click on "LICENSE PLATES" under the "TITLE & REGISTRATION" category on the left side of that page. There you can go to any given state's DMV site. I think it might depend on what state you are in if you can search for already taken plates, but I don't know.

New here - need to figure out how to add an avatar of my own.
Will try to attach a photo - hope it works.
I have the only 2004 Prius in our area so far and I love it.
