Is there a product offering that can increase EV range of PIP 2012 given battery technology has improved since PIP launch.

I keep hoping that @jeff652 will have something ready by the time our PiPs are needing it. But I'd understand if he didn't see enough market potential to warrant the investment.

Only if the cells were out of balance or otherwise degraded. I'm not aware of any real data on the behavior of the cells like what is available for the NiMH batteries.

I was assuming the same. If we could recondition, I would think there would be some improvement in EV range, but only in proportion to how out of balance and worn the cells are.

Was also thinking inline of if there are businesses that have come-up with better battery to replace the original ones. And that gives an increased EV range.

not that i have seen, not enough pips on the road to make it worthwhile. plus, i'm not sure how much batteries have improved. prime is a huge battery compared to pip, to get more miles.

if you dropped prime battery tech into pip battery box, you might get a few more miles, but there are other improvements on prime that increase range besides battery.
