    Let me begin:
    1. 30-mile electric range without reduced cargo space.
    2. More powerful motors. 0-60 time under 9 seconds in electric or hybrid operation.
    3. 5th seat. Doesn't matter if the headroom in the middle seat is insufficient for an adult. It's extremely rare for 5 adults to be in one car.
    4. Support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
    5. Bump in price of no more than $1000.

    Bonus: Adoption the GR design that's apparently available in Japan. The new Dynamic Force engine found in the Corolla hatch.

    That's it! With these changes, the Prime would be the perfect no-compromise green vehicle that is also somewhat fun, and easy to love and brag about. Sales would go through the roof.

    1. 50+ mile EV range, and I don't really care about cargo space. Maybe a V Prime would be a good idea though for people who need the space. Don't cut the size of the gas tank.
    2. Apple Play Car play and Android Auto. Get rid of Entune and go more mainstream. It's pretty much unstable trash in the current prime.
    3. More physical buttons, less screen.
    4. Solar panels in the U.S..
    5. Better lane departure alert, even more so than the Gen 3 LKA. (close to autonomous mode, but not quite.)
    6. Audible warning - blind spot monitoring.

    1. Carplay\Android Auto. If not that, at least at the ruddy album art.
    2. Better breakdown of hybrid and electric usage. The current set of info is pretty scant all things considered.
    3. More HUD options.
    4. 32A charge.
    5. 0-60 less than 10 seconds.

    Spare tire and more cargo space. Mutually exclusive options, I guess. :(

    Good point about the tire pressure display. I don't understand why we don't have something better!

    I agree with these...

    1. 50+ mile EV range and don't cut the size of the gas tank.
    2. Apple Play Car play and Android Auto. Get rid of Entune.
    3. More physical buttons.
    4. Lane Keep Assist
    5. stronger motors/faster 0-60.
    6. rear wheel drive motor
    7. TIRE PRESSURES!!! (Especially without a spare!)

    and want these...

    8. Active backup camera. and make it viewable on demand, not just in R.
    9. Heat reflective paint.
    10. Laser matrix headlight system (I know, needs USDOT)

    Just a reminder, so far as we know, no Toyota Engineer reads PriusChat. If you did want it read, your post would be in Japanese. [Ninja'd by Bob Wilson]

    Those wanting a faster car, do not really want a Prius. Toyota makes other hybrids, as do other manufacturers..

    Due to Fear, Uncertainly, and Doubt on the part of First Responders, I do not ever expect 12v from the HV Battery. Toyota assures EMTs the HV battery is disconnected when the car is not Ready.

    The rest seem like perfectly reasonable, but often incompatible, dreams. (most could be solved with a Prius Tardis)

    I agree with the no rattles for sure. Saw someone's post that pointed out most of the common places they occur but I'm just too lazy to order that felt tape and risk damaging my car by pulling off the dash.

    Longer EV range would definitely be nice since I live exactly 25 miles from work. On extremely cold/hot days the car only gets like 20 miles per charge because of the heater/AC running full blast.

    Would also really be nice for the tire pressure display. My last car had it and it was built over 10 years ago so not sure why this car only has a low tire pressure warning light but no way to tell which tire is low without manually checking each tire.

    Another thing I would greatly appreciate is a bigger/longer sun visor. Maybe make it telescopic. When driving North/South in the early morning or late afternoon the sun beams right into the corner of my eye causing me to have to lift my hand up to block it.

    I also like the idea of heat reflective paint. Was hoping tinting the windows would help with the heat but alas whatever tint the dealership put on the car has zero effect on blocking heat. :( Anything to help keep the car cooler in the summer would be most beneficial.

    That's because Prius is not that car. But there is no reason it has to be that way. When electric motors were weak and engine was doing most (or all) of the work, there was a very good reason to limit the power and keep it working at peak efficiency. However, electric motors are not more efficient if they are throttled to half of their peak power. Generally, if you want a stronger motor, you also need a bigger battery. If the puny <1kwh battery in the Prius can be paired with a 50 kw (I think), there is no reason why the 8.8-kwh Prime's motors could not have been significantly more powerful had they wanted it.

    I'm not asking for 0-60 in 2.7 seconds. Maybe 8 or 9. Not 10+.

    My list:
    (1) 30 mile EPA-EV range, to qualify for my state's EV sales tax waiver;
    (2) The same cash-back sales incentives offered on the opposite coast;
    (3) Better battery packaging to recover that wasted unused cargo space;
    (4) Increased load weight capacity, to a rating more similar to the regular Prius.

    ======================
    (1) Dang, that sales tax waiver was terminated on May 31. I was away from home and too busy with family obligations most of the winter and spring to keep up with the issues.

    1. Longer Sun visor... WHY oh WHY can't they figure out how to put a sun-visor in that actually obscures more than 2" of the side-window. Totally useless. They should have just saved themselves money and not made it rotatable in the first place!
    2. vertically adjustable lumbar support. It seems to fit me fine, but my wife can't go an hour into a drive without needing to put a pillow behind her. She hates the prius seats.
    3. Ability to make the "allow car to turn on the air conditioner when charging" have a defaultable setup to "on". I don't want to have to set this EVERY time I turn off the dang car!
    4. Make the center console lid flip up vertically like on Gen 2/3. Current setup makes it dang difficult for a passenger to get anything out of it.
    5. configuration option to turn-off the stupid titles on the MFD. Let's face it, after the first week we all know what the dang display pages are, we don't need a pop-up obscuring 1/4 of the display and making us take our eyes off the road that much longer.
    6. hud settings... I want to put the nav in the hud at all times when i'm on a long trip. When i'm doing several hundred miles, i'm usually doing it on cruise and that just kills mileage anyway so i'm less interested mileage and more interested in not missing turns, etc.
    7. hud settings... and while i'm at it.. why don't they put radio/ac on the hud as well as the mfd? they have a nice display that's built so that you dont' have to take you're eyes of the road, except that they dont' use it so you end up taking your eyes off the road. just stupid if you ask me.
    8. programmable seats/settings for more than one person. This should be a no-brainer. Other than the rear-view mirror it's really just software. They don't even need a button as they already have touch screen display.
    9. ac vent for rear passengers.
    10. continuous software updates for the head unit. It's just ridiculous that they don't update constantly. I'm not a fan of the Tesla, but I do like the fact that you don't have to buy a whole new car to get bug fixes.
    11. make both clocks talk to each other so you only have to update one... (and it should be the GPS clock so you don't need to update at all!).
    12. all-black interior
    13. radio interface on the 11"... need I say more?

    Amen to this one: "3. Ability to make the "allow car to turn on the air conditioner when charging" have a defaultable setup to "on". I don't want to have to set this EVERY time I turn off the dang car! "

    Why can't they change that now in a software download?

    The audio system isn't that good, Improvements can be made in this area.

    And somehow reduce the glare from the 11" monitor, without compromising clarity. Perhaps making it not fixed into its position.
