Our one headlight seems to be going out after about two minutes on our 2009 Prius. It's mainly the passenger side but if you switch the lights off and back on and they will turn back on. (but only for a few minutes) My wife read since we have the High Intensity Bulbs we can't convert to LED's is this true? and which bulbs would you recommend we should purchase regardless of kind? (We just need headlights that work) Thanks for your time. Have a blessed day/night.

    Philips 42406 from HomeDepot.com

Guaranteed to be genuine and a pretty reasonable price compared to dealers. Also it's one used as OEM for the Gen 2 model.

It will cure your problem. With HIDs you should replace both at the same time.

Philips Standard HID 42406/D4R Headlight Bulb (1-Pack)-42406C1 - The Home Depot

Uh-oh.... just noticed it says "out of stock" sry about that

Maybe here..and a 20% off offer pops up when I open the website...

    D4R - PHILIPS OEM 4300K 42406 HID Bulb – HID CONCEPT

Maybe, maybe not. There seems to be an awful lot of counterfeiting going on. Used to be the counterfeits would be so amazingly cheap that it would be obvious they were fakes. Then they got smart and started charging more to make it less obvious. I tend to avoid taking chances on it. There's a pretty good thread in the forum about HID bulbs. I'll try to find it and link it.
