After about five hundred miles on motorway and urban driving the computer shows 80mpg on UK Imperial gallons that is,...very acceptable. I have filled up yesterday and will see what a real world tankful will produce. Taking her to France in 10 days time so we shall how high beam low beam does on wrong side of the road!
Hahaha yes it depends on your perspective I guess! I have driven in the States and Continental Europe and you soon get used to the RIGHT side!
Watch out for the Gendarmerie. I understand they can be quite hot on Brits offending their laws with the lights and speed camera alert/detection.
I’ve been driving in France on holidays for over 10 years n my own car and only had one run in with the Gendarmerie, but that was because I came off the motorway on to a slip too fast. He just checked my documents and told me to slow down...
Do you have the Sat Nav? Don't forget that the Speed Camera Warning System is illegal in France, so remember to turn it off. (Though having just checked the date of your post, you're probably back by now). Any problems?
Hello James, welcome to Prius Chat . You've joined the Yorkshire chapter I assume? ... So you're in good company.
Yes back now with no probs. Camera alert disabled for trip and used headlight deflectors just in case. Felt guilt driving at 80mph ( their speed limit). Hit fuel economy. The computer showed 68mpg for 1330 mile trip.
Sorry, just my sense of speed (edit to weird) humour. @kithmo is a prominent (and informative) Yorkshireman on here. You two could form one of you felt the need. Me? I'm just a lapsed gypsy finished my perennial wanderings and lazing around in Cornwall till the final curtain.
