Hey guys, I have an iPhone cable connected to my USB outlet that’s charging my iPhone 6 Plus but upon initial insertion it flickers on/off around 3-5 times before it stays on consistently. Anybody have the same issue?
Yep mine does the same thing. We kept on thinking it was the cable. Now I know it’s happening to someone else.
yep, what iOS are you running? I'm running 12 beta, and I've noticed it doing it. Hadn't seen it before.
NO. Because that likely is happening because the two systems are "talking" to each other and the car is "logging" any files it finds on the phone......like music files. If the blinking light is the ONLY indication you have of that going on, count yourself lucky. My wife's phone causes a message to pop up 4 or 5 times complaining that it can't find any "media files" before it finally gives up.
I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with the operating system our phones are running. The car pulses the charging circuit 3 times when an iPhone is plugged in. It charges extremely slow, if at all. Then the headunit will crash if I take a long drive. It's a known issue and Toyota seems content with the trash infotainment they've been putting in their cars for years. (Entune) Carplay would seemingly fix all of this, but Toyota's stubbornness prevents that from happening.
