The old injectors will get evaluated, and when the results are in (similar to these for mine), I'll post 'em here.

By the way, astrolink, what was your approach for relieving the fuel-line pressure before pulling the injectors? Mine was just to pop out the circuit-opening relay at idle and let the engine die, but it dies such a rough clattery death I feel bad afterward....

Here are the test results for astrolink's old injectors:



Unlike the ones from my car that I tested in May, these had plenty of room for improvement from before to after cleaning, as you'd expect given astrolink's noticeable rough running.

It seems they had two kinds of problem: (1) the average delivery for the set of 4 was reduced by about 20% on the 90-second pulsed test, 25% on the 20-second static test, with ±20% reportedly being the trim range the ECU is able to learn, and (2) there was a 31-33% imbalance between the best and the very bad injector #2. Two observations:

• The in-tank injector cleaner that astrolink had run two cans of wasn't effective.
• The reconditioning service was.

That seems to confirm the results reported here.

The test results after servicing for these injectors are just as good as the ones I sent in May. Rich has fitted them with new screens, seals, and O-rings, and scribed them with serial numbers matching them to the test results above.

What is the turnaround time?

I think astrolink put them in the mail on Monday to Rich, and I got Rich's e-mail with the results today. Rich communicates actively up front to schedule your work when you can tell him when to expect the injectors. In this case, I had told him there was no rush and he could get to them whenever.

That's an example of the turnaround time to send injectors to Rich and get them back (which I assume is what you were asking about).

Just to be clear, my offer at the end of the post above is for just this set of injectors, already done, which I will ship directly to anyone who'd like to buy them; nothing to turn around.

I have a 2010 prius and lately I've been experiencing decreased miles per gallon and laggy acceleration. Could it be my fuel injectors or MAF sensor? I have not codes so far.

 

Check the cooled exhaust valve and pipes.
