Clicking creaking from behind dash.

    My air conditioning was recently replaced and now there is a constant clicking or creaking that sounds like from valves under my dashboard. Does anybody have any ideas. Thank you.

    Clicking or creaking sounds like it might be the "flaps" or "shutters" as they're moved to direct the air flow... (just an idea!). ☺

    or they might not have put things back together correctly. when does it happen?

    I’m resurrecting this thread in the hopes that somebody found something. I’ve had the creaky valve (or air diverter or whatever it is) from behind the dash for a few years now but I just decided to nurse a few more miles out of it and want to address the annoyances.

    There’s never been work done on the HVAC.

    2005 with 175,000miles
