Have seen postings that you make the paired cell count from the left (HV control module) and other postings that say you start from the fan inlet side. This is for the 2005-2009 Prius. What is the correct way to count cells?
Yes have OBD2 and Techstream. Have good cells ready to go. Just needed to be sure of the count direction.
Do you have an inch-pound torque wrench for properly tightening the module nuts and HV connection nuts? If not, go buy, rent, or borrow one. You don't want to be guessing. You risk breaking a module post by over tightening or arcing from undertightening. Seriously. Just do it.
I'm getting into this as well. Cryptogram, I'd love to be in touch and perhaps learn from each other. I've got a couple re builds I need to do. Is it as simple as ID'ing bad cells by just testing voltage? What about energy/capacity - is there a good way to test these cells under load through discharge conditions etc?
