My 2012 Prius 5 Build

Taking a step backwards in MODs here as I had to replace my original CF mirror covers. A couple of the tabs on the back of one of the covers broke off and it kept falling off leading to some unpleasant spots on the cover. Replacement covers finally came in yesterday!

 

Did today actually but I think I hate it with the pearl in the CF because it don't really match the wheels! hopefully when I go down to the body shop tomarrow he hadent done anything with the rest of the CF I dropped off and may just get him to do more clear and more UV on my last drop off and stick with the traditional CF which means ima have to revert back on the hood, wing, and rear hatch garnish . Sun was so bright when I I took the pics so the wheels look alot darker.

 

Yea that'll be a minute.. getting ready to go on vacation very soon!

 

Thanks dude! I do not know though.....ima have to get all the CF back on the car and may have to get wheels re done a color much darker. Think I found a better wheel color that will look better with it all since I been here at work this evening.

Just got back from a 11 day vacation with wife and kids as we went to NYC and upstate NY! (I'm broke now) I actually went by the body shop today to check on things and it is ready BUT I left the glass and all the parts for the glass so he would install it for me. Told him I would come back to get on the 6th....needed to come back to work and make some money!

Also just bought my wife a 2017 Civic Hatchback in the Sonic Grey Pearl & been buying a bunch of small crap for that so that's not helping my Prius funds

Picked up some carbon fiber from the body shop today(everything but the hatch, some foot drag going on for sure.. Says he's putting the glass in today)









Also popped these in real quick. Curious to see if they are much brighter than the oem style with a white led.

Toyota Prius Seibon Carbon Fiber Hatch

Finally got the hatch back with the newly added uv protection, bronze/copper pearl, fresh clearcoat & and ofcourse all new glass minus the rear wiper hole!



Time to run this new harness I got(exact model # of my Pri)


Did it but it won't fun! Also purchased new liftgate supports for the fresh install.

Time to compare all the holes in both hatches. Looks like there is no square cutout on the left side for the camera and the 2 holes to keep it in there.



After some cutting and drilling





Camera & license plate lights installed. Had to do a little trimming to the license plate light cutouts to get them in nice and snug.



This is it so far..still gotta mess with the roof wing, put the last hatch piece on. Good thing is all the hatch glass came with all the mouldings and trim pieces I ordered so I get to return all that since it cost me $150.

 

Naw not painting. Plan on leaving as is.

 

I got bronze/copper pearl put into it all. My wheels turned out alot more yellow gold than I originally wanted. Will rock it like this for a while and next winter I'll re do my wheels to look similar to this color with some copper in them.

Got these crossed drilled & slotted black rotors and ceramic pads in. Just have to get installed soon!
