When I press the voice button and say 'Show forecast'. I get a listing for Cornwall, Ontario which is 120 miles away as the crow flies from my location. Anyone had any similar experiences in this area and know how to rectify it? There are numerous HD signals within 20 miles of my location. Thank you Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
There is no way to perform the setting you mention above on a '17 Prius Prime Premium. What I did do was to turn on Location on my phone and then launch Entune. I then pressed the Start button and waited for a few minutes. I then said 'Show forecast' and the local weather map showed up. I shut the car off, then turned off location and Entune on my phone, waited 20 minuted and 'Started' the car again and the local weather appeared. So for now it is working. I know when I travel down South it always shows me the local forecast no matter where I am. Maybe it just got confused. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
check out the Data Services setting (page 148) in the manual. You can select between HD, and HD & Entune. True, you can't set it to prefer Entune, but I was hoping that if you allow it to use entune than it may be able to get a closer location than what's available via the HD radio channels
Finally got a chance to test this. With Entune running it will show the same location 120 miles away no matter how the switch above is set. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Follow-up...it will show the local weather, but o e you shut off the car it reverts back to the distant location Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
