I just got the call. My '06 Prius is in! I get to pick it up tomorrow (and trade in the 4Runner) Sorry ... just had to share.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(coffenut @ Aug 7 2006, 07:06 PM) </div> Congratulations!! Hoping to get the very same call within a day or two. (Fingers crossed so tight that I think my middle finger joint is at risk.) <_<
Great!! I just got mine on July 17th...the 06...I have learned so much in these forums already. Enjoy!!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(coffenut @ Aug 7 2006, 05:06 PM) </div> No need to be sorry. Congratulations and good luck with it! I stopped by the dealer today to tell them I was back from travel and confirm status on mine... It's due here on the 16th, plus or minus a day or two. It can't get in soon enough... ;-) Godfrey -- soon to be Prius owner --
Congratulations, and enjoy it. I've been enjoying mine since April, and it just keeps getting better!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(coffenut @ Aug 7 2006, 07:06 PM) </div> Congrat's, I have had mine since may and love it more everyday. Enjoy
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(coffenut @ Aug 7 2006, 08:06 PM) </div> Congrats. Maybe we should compare notes. I too have traded my 4 Runner in on my new 06 Prius. Probably will pick it up today. This should be interesting. Good luck and hope all goes well.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(snow @ Aug 8 2006, 10:15 AM) </div> I am also moving from a 4Runner to a Prius. Funny coincidence! I decided to sell it rather than trade it in, though. Fortunately or unfortunately, it sold right away. My Prius isn't supposed to be in until the end of the month, so I will be without a car for a while. I got $2k more for my 4Runner than I would have with a trade. At least I'll be saving gas! (I'll be working from home twice a week and carpooling with a friend the rest of the time.) Congrats on your new Prius. I can't wait to join the club. GoToyota!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(MechaJohn @ Aug 8 2006, 12:12 PM) </div> Yeah ... everyone was telling me to sell vs trade in but frankly the Prius came in before I had a chance to really get moving on the selling ... besides ... it's just easier to trade it in. I am going to be taking a hit in any case because the 4Runner is only 3 years old. How the heck I am going to fit all my photography equipment (I'm a professional photographer), my squad equipment, my other "stuff" and my Golden Retriever in my new Prius, is beyond me. Good thing I am an excellent packer. <G>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(coffenut @ Aug 8 2006, 11:18 AM) </div> coffenut, When you do get it loaded, please take a picture. I would love to see how you pack all that stuff in there! My 4Runner is 11 years old, but in great condition. It has serverd me well, and I believe I got my money's worth out of it. I considered another SUV (a hybrid one) but I didn't think Highlander or Escape would give me a big enough bump in MPG. The Prius is a great solution for me because of the very high gas mileage and large cargo capacity combined.
