I have arrived at the conclusion that there isn't a good cell in this entire pack. Time for plan B.

    Update:

Determined all the cells in the original pack were dead. Tried the cheap route (Plan B) and bought a $650 one from the junkyard. Those cells were dead as well. Coughed up the $2k for a reman battery, has not been delivered yet.

    Which one did you get?

You're a brave soul I hope nothing else is needing care!

Yeah, I was hoping to get it started on the cheap in order to assess any other issues it may have, but that's not gonna happen until it has a battery pack that can at least start the car. I got a Greentec battery on order with the 12 month warranty. If this doesn't pan out, I can always part the car out, I live 50 miles from Portland and there is a huge market for Prius parts.

Isn't that about the price for a dealer new OEM pack? With a 1 year warranty for non-Toyota install too. Even if it was a few dollars more, it would be a chalk and cheese comparison to a Greentec second-hand battery.

I hope it works out for you with the Greentec, if it is too late to re-evaluate your options.

Greentec is actually $1750 with a 750 core charge. So in essence its $1k, thanks for looking out, I misspoke..

It runs, and appears to run very well!
